UX Specific design, matters

Often companies feel that they have multiple “equally important” messages and, left undistilled, these messages end up competing for the same space. The human tendency to try and cram as much as possible, into a small physical space or short space of time, regularly spills over into our design ideas. Our lives are chaotically busy, and the designs and systems associated with our businesses should not follow this trend!
Have you ever used a website that just seems overly complicated for no reason? Or been frustrated with an app that doesn’t ever present the options you need when you want them?
These bad UX (user experience) design components always have negative end-user responses and can cause your company to get lost in the ocean of online competition. Without UX design, design regularly becomes cluttered, confusing and disconnected from real business goals, trying to accomplish too many things at one time, in one space.
UX design doesn’t start with the visual content element. UX design forces us to look at strategy and goals first. To be explicit about what we want to achieve and to build our digital channels around this. UX design incorporates research, wireframes, prototypes, testing and feedback, before creating the actual user interfaces for websites, mobile apps, or software, to ensure that every decision serves a purpose. This might feel like overinvesting for a perceived small return, on our short timelines — but that’s not the case. The consequences (short, mid and long-term) of not pausing a moment to incorporate good UX design could be the make-or-break element for a business.
As much as we like to think that we'll "just go ahead and get our product out for deadline without UX design for now, and definitely fit in a proper UX investigation when timelines are less hectic", we all know that business never gets less hectic, only more so. And soon your company will find itself plugging UX holes in the ship, that could have been prevented with good planning and some extra focus in the beginning.
